writings cards... painting the snow

I've been talking to my friends regularly through this cold snap and several have told me about their "cabin fever". I haven't felt that at all so far. I have enjoyed not going anywhere..maybe that is because it seems like I am required to go somewhere practically every day. It's pleasant to be "snowbound". I wrote out Christmas cards today and painted this scene from the kitchen window. oil on 8 x 8 canvas panel.

I feel the same way about just staying home. I like those days when I have nothing to do, and all day to do it in...;)
That's a good looking snow painting, BTW.

Hi Celeste, I love your little painting out your window. These first snows are wonderful and exciting and then as the winter wears on the snow becomes something else, less exciting. I am painting snow scenes as well, but will soon move on to summer scenes, from some of those plein air days, where we felt to warm and went in search of shade. Remember Maryhill! What a grand day that was! By the way, Buckley LOVES the snow.

thanks Dean and Donna for commenting..! The snow is nearly gone and it was fun staying home because of it!
