Painting live models

I have been fortunate to be able to paint models from life for two weeks running..and I am scheduled to go back again next week. The lighting is superb and the models have been first rate. How do they stay so still for such long stretches!? Sometimes things don't come together with my painting (frustrating..) and other times it does meet my vision...(hooray!) Well, either way....first hand observation is the best!

Nice, Celeste. Are you painting at one of the local open studios?

Great job, Celeste!! These certainly say "painted from life". My fav is the the third one, the full face. The color and brushwork are outstanding! Way to go!

Celeste, Really lovely work you're doing with these live models. You've captured the poses and expressions beautifully.

I thought I'd posted a comment here yesterday. I like these studies, Celeste. Are you painting them at one of the local open studios?

Your work is stunning. Really really beautiful. It transcends the blog.
