Breaking "rules"


Ah-ha, you say! It's wrong to make a sky that is divided "evenly" like this...but I used some artistic license here and went for it. What is there to be afraid of? I meant to change the sky to have more varied shapes--but then I elected to leave it just as it is! I put this in a frame tonight--(for the paint-out exhibit tomorrow) and it is one of my favorite plein air results of the summer.
Come to Mt. Tabor this weekend to see it in person! It is one of the 5 paintings I am submitting.
