sketchy sketchy

No time for painting tonight..so I have made this sketch. It is a satisfying thing--to sketch something with a minimal amount of fuss. I follow Kitty Wallis' advice yet again--to leave the foundation lines in. Ixnay erasure.

You posting this sketch made me think I should 1. sketch more. 2. bring a sketch book when I travel. I don't always have time to paint.

She looks like a woman of character.

There's something about seeing the beginnings of a drawing or painting..letting the 'bones' of the piece show. An 'aliveness' remains.

Georgia O'Keeffe has a strong face and you've captured her. Nice sketch.

I like the drama and mystery of black and white and you have portrayed both.
