Bear

"Western" art magazines seem to have super predictable subjects. They are (in no particular order) Native Americans, wolves, horses, cowboys and bears. I found a photo reference so I could try my hand at this "popular" subject.

I agree on the predictability of western art images. What happened to the modern urban west?

But this is a pretty fine bear!

I like the colours and movement in this - very vibrant.

Here's another great example of the fact that no matter what subject you paint, your use of color and brushwork are brilliant! Love it.

I love it, Celeste. I am reminded of Grizzly Adams...and of documentaries I've seen of these gorgeous bears.

An accomplished piece of wildlife art, Celeste. In the right market, western art sells really well.

This is wonderful Celeste! I know there are plenty of shows featuring this genre of art. You need to submit your work. You do everything so well. *sigh*
