It is a day for flowers..and I painted some in honor of Valentine's Day. I hope your day was everything that you like for the holiday. For myself, it was just right..I got to talk with some special friends and Dave gave me a picture of me and my Mom from yesteryear (he made it bigger and better than it was). Nothing like flowers for Valentine's Day. I hope it was as grand for you as I believe it was.
As for loving the day, I think you have to be in the mood, this year's was pretty sweet for me - not in the romantic sense, just nice. That is quite an exuberant burst of flowers.

Oh boy! I do so love bunches of wildflowers! Beautiful, Celeste!! How thoughtful Dave is to have come up with such a unique and beautiful gift! I've never been a big fan of Valentine's Day. Maybe because it was never treated any differently than any other day in our house when I was growing up. And too, I am not much of a romantic (in that mushy sense), oddly enough. Somehow I think I've quashed any romantic tendencies in my husband as well. Sigh...

Our V-day was winding down, finished a nice dinner and enjoying the evening, when the phone rang.
I answered it, it was my daughter Heather.
"Zack proposed to me!" she teared!
She was so suprized and excited.
She drove half way across town to show us the ring.
This will be a Valentines Day I hope to remember always.
