Strong! Your paintings are confident and expressive. This looks like a romantic fellow -- must be reading poetry. Byron, I guess. Kvan (at home!)

Sweet, moody painting, almost cinematic.

This is really nice, Celeste! Love the subject. The composition is good and the figure gesture is wonderful. Love how you painted the book, too. OK - I like it all! :-)

When I first glanced at this image I thought it was a study by one of the famous French impressionists ... Degas? Renoir? Fabulous work!

Très belle réalisation d'une scène de vie... Les nouvelles sont-elles bonnes ?

So beautiful! This painting reminds me of Terry Muira's work a wee bit too. Does she have braided pigtails here? She just looks so studious...Katherine Hepburn-ish almost!

Great painting ! I like the design pattern. For me it's always such a challenge to avoid the facial details without it looking too unfinished. You have a talent to make that work. Including painting of Venice in the rain that Sold at O'Conner's.

When I saw the small version of this on the sidebar of my blog, it caught my attention. Just amazing work; you do inspire.

Intake of breath..almost forget to exhale. I love this. Love the total absorption of the reader. The loose, almost dreamy style - as though reflecting the struggle between the world being conjured in her mind by the book, and the "real" world around her. What can I say? I love books. Great painting.
