Life painting session..."Quin"

Quin Sweetman is an oil painter--who also just happens to be a part time model. I got to paint her today in our life painting session. It is different to paint someone who can "talk shop" with you during the breaks. I liked the way the studio lamp was directed onto her chin...and how the straw hat helped complete the sunshine fantasy.

Painting: Celeste Bergin, Quin, Oil on canvas panel, 20 x 16 inches. ©2010.

Celeste, Nice play of light on the planes of the lower face. Hats always add interest, too. Good job.

Beautiful job with the light and shadows. As Candace said the hat adds interest and it is a fantastic addition. Well done!

Hi Célest,
Je ne connais pas cette jeune femme, cependant elle peut être fière de cette peinture... Félicitations à vous. J'adore les chapeaux ! aussi!
Amitiés.

I'd have thought you did this outside if you hadn't told me otherwise. Love it!

I wish I had one fifth of your ability when it comes to portrait painting! It's not my forte', and I truly admire anyone who can do it. Wonderful!
