Big Sky, mid-day

This was painted at the Tree Farm in Helvetia. (The tree in the foreground would never have made it as a Christmas tree--too much bend!) For another truly beautiful sky painting with a brilliant poem, visit Pam Flanders.

Oil Sketch: Celeste Bergin, Mid day, 2010, Oil on canvas panel, 12 x 6 inches.

Bonjour Céleste,
Quel merveilleux ciel que celui-ci! Il réveillerait n'importe quel poète allongé sou cet arbre...
Amitiés.

The way that tree bends- and sets you soaring- Now that is fresh! Great painting Celeste!

What a gorgeous painting! This is a much better use of a beautiful tree than throwing a few strands of lights would be. Too cool!

Thank you for linking to Pam's blog. Her tribute to William Reese is beautiful.

Your tree is really beautiful. I like that it has a bend to it. It adds an interesting touch. Very nice painting, Celeste!

I'm all about blue these days, so for me this is all about the sky; the shot of pink makes it. And thanks for the link to Pam. I of course liked her sky and have always admired the poem.
