This painting had a little house in it. It looked awful so I scraped it off and replaced it with some trees. It is so important if you are going to paint a house that it be a solid house and not an iffy house. Take it from me.Painting: Celeste Bergin, Landscape...sans house, Oil on canvas panel, 8 x 8 inches.

Brilliant colours!MThis landscape doesn't need a house, iffy of otherwise! There so uch in the colours and expressive brushstrokes to keep us all entertained. Great stuff! I'm really enjoying your landscapes at the moment btw, I think you have a natural ability for them.
Who needs a house with that gorgeous field full of wild grasses? I like this one, Celeste! (Sigh...course, I like all your pieces; that is why I visit all the time!)
Thanks,Celeste.
Nice paint,without cabane!
Ganda grtngs, Willy.
Such a gem of composition, color and exciting brushwork doesn't need a house, Celeste, it's handsome!
Often when i have a center of interest not work out in a painting, something else comes to take it's place just as good or better- like a dark, sharp edge of tree meeting the brightness of your cloud, or a note of bank and sparkle of blue in your creek.
Regardless of pulling some detail like that out, the painting, i still think is a success!
Really nice! You have changed it so well that a house would look completely out of place. Great landscape.
Lovely landscape. The blue water just comes forward with the soft yellows. I would like to see this area in person. It looks perfect for plein air.
this is a characteristic of painting that some people don't consider .
in painting we have to make things REALLY happen , can't leave any doubt about what we want to show and the nature of the object painted .
this painting is wonderful.
Beautiful!
Looks like we both felt a need to confess. Heh. But, with this one, you should be guilt-free. This is blameless!
The demolition worked; another beautiful painting.
I really like the range of colors on this one!
Sorry to have missed you last night at the Sales and Rental gallery opening.

Sounds like good advise- no iffy houses! Beautiful landscape- you always handle these things with such expertise and skill.
You continue to be my daily dose of artistic inspiration- not to mention that you are a pretty darned terrific person too!
Never, ever would have known - looks great. And, what's a house, if it's not a home, anyway?
