Wee bird

This is sort of an experiment in repeated shapes. Just for fun.
Painting: Celeste Bergin, Wee bird, Oil on gessoed hardboard, 4 x 4 inches.

You can't beat an appealing winged creature, IMHO.

Experiment or no, I like it! Reminds me of my days going out into the field with my binoculars, and the glimpses of flitting birds. This one, grabbing my birdbook quickly (before he gets away) - let's see, white eye ring, white throat, brown back, yellow wings - no idea! But a good spot, nonetheless.

Nice Celeste. Experimenting is always a great challenge. Sometimes I get to doing it more than I should but can't believe that is a bad thing.

I can feel this little guy's energy, looking to the next branch, bug, seed...Lovely work, as always, my friend!
