I took part in the life painting session at the Canvas Art Bar tonight. I missed last week..so it was great to be back. I got to get more umbrella practice in...the model used a green one for a prop. You can see what all the other Monday evening Canvas artists did HERE.Painting, Celeste Bergin, 2nd pose, 2010, oil on 14 x 18 stretched canvas

Marvellous just marvellous. What more can I say.
Love the top version Celeste, you've really caught the light coming through the umbrella well. It's great stuff to see!
You're so connected! It's wonderful how engaged you are with other artists. It must be wonderful to have this type of comraderi and encouragement.

and what you did with the yellow reflexions on her face ... on the first painting of the post .
i loved that .
These are soooo good, Celeste! The warm yellows are beautiful and the expressions of your model have been captured expertly with your paint brush. Well done!
Three wonderful paintings, Celeste. I think I like Umbrella Girl 1.
WOW! I said that out loud when your blog came up, what beautiful paintings. And what a cute idea to give the model an umbrella. You have found a good thing . . . and you are doing amazing work with what's in front of you!!!

What a great prop! Nice how the color reflects on her face in the top one.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Love them all. Now, do one with that fabulous tile will ya?
The yellow-green reflections on the portrait are perfect! Nicely done sketches. I like how you do portraits and full figure sketches of the same pose. You make it look easy!
I especially like the quick-looking sketch in the last one. Lots of interest and energy. Nicely done, Celeste.
The composition and colors in the first one really kick some butt. I love all three, but that one really speaks to me.
