From my sidebar this looked like Balzac rising. What a great painter you are--your landscapes seem to give off oxygen. One can feel the atmosphere.

I've enjoyed keeping up with your painting. This one really caught eye though. Simply amazing! Love those trees against that brooding sky!

yep. it's the dramatic, breath-taking sky, alive with motion that completely captivates me.

The energy of this painting is amazing. I find night scenes very difficult to paint, and you are just bang on with this one. You are a master artis, Celeste. I also look forward to reading your very perceptive comments on Kathy Cartwright's blog.

WOW.
That is all I can say. Wow!
This is so powerful. It has the force of a Turner or something. The values. POWERFUL. (I must not be afraid of values). I cannot believe it is only 12 x 12. You must never sand down this one. (I have the feeling everything you do is now in danger. lol.)

Impressive and evocative. Hallie said something wonderful, it "gives off oxygen." Ditto that feeling for your art.

I love this painting! The mood you have created is wonderful. Very dramatic! Often people just reproduce a scene. It's an art to achieve atmosphere and mood!

If color can be compared to music, you hit a high note that rings beautifully!
I like the comment about giving off oxygen, I can take a deep breath of this!
