"Untitled"

Here is the painting that was installed in O'Connor's today. The advertise-y poster look of it is intentional.
Painting: Celeste Bergin, Untitled, 2010, oil on 30x40 canvas

Wow. I love this painting. That white space separating umbrella woman from the others is fantastic--the commoners part for her.

Celeste! Great ballence and beautiful color.
There is a freshness to the atmosphere, and the women in the forground invites you out of the rain.
I love this, and at 30"x 40" the viewer is in the picture!
Cheers!

A great big beautiful painting and shown to its full advantage. I think the umbrella lady's perspective matches the height of the room. Perfect!

Show us pictures of the show!

It's been a while since I took a look at your blog, Celeste, and it was a pleasure to come back to it! I really like the little pumpkin from a while back. Congrats on all your recent successes, and my deepest sympathies for the loss of your friend, Van.

This really shimmers with light ... a lovely impressionist piece ... yet somehow my brooding brain also wants to read it metaphorically - the insubstantiality of existence? ... i'm sure it will be stunning on the wall and become a favorite for many, Celeste

Love it - I feel like I'm walking into the painting just behind the foreground figure. A gold star on this one. Donna

Love it, Celeste. The abstraction and simplification are fabulous and is the color balance and everything else. Congratulations.
