Last week I enjoyed painting on top of printed paper, so I've done it again. This time the article I randomly tore out of a magazine is about art and the economy. Oil Sketch: Celeste Bergin, Bright Landscape, oil on printed page 9 x 6
I like this essay (below) that was shared with me about painting no matter what the "climate".

Très original et beaucoup plus attrayant que les photos qu'on voit habituellement dans les journaux...
Une véritable note d'espoir...

Haven't been painting in a while. Doing art related activities- yes, but not painting. think I'll try one of these Celeste, as a way of loosening up.
Hi Celeste. perhaps we should be optimistic that the economy will improve forever, so artists can sell their works of art!
I liked this work as the last!
Celeste, thanks for the essay. I think you invest your most noble self in your paintings. Bright Landscape is no exception.
truely written.
Nice concept, Celeste! I like how the print becomes an integral part of the painting.
Re: the essay....I'm gonna have to make more of an effort. I have fallen into becoming too easily sidetracked.
Very fun! I like the texture of the letters coming through the transparent colors.
