Here I have painted a tea cup and saucer in just black & white gesso. My plan is to add color tomorrow. This is not how I normally paint, but I thought I would give this black & white underpainting a try.Would you like some lemon in your tea? Here's a song to go with our visit:

Great just as it is, without color. I am interested to see how it turns out.
You always have such great ideas. I can't wait to see this painting after you add color!
Mama Cass had such a great voice -- so rich and resonant. Thanks for sharing it. I'll take my tea with milk in your pretty cup and saucer.
Great,bravo.
great ....very eager to see the finished one..
Oh, thanks. Celeste, you are very kind. and you have a beautiful Spanish name. I'll wait for the color!
Is it black tea? Ha! What a cool post! I'm smiling!:)
This looks like an interesting exercise. I'll be curious to see the end result once colour is added.
like everyone else, can't wait to see your finished painting.
Black & white, color, pen, pencil, tea--you do it all so well.
Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Pretty cup. Coincidentally, I'm painting a dog (surprise) in black and white. Well, actually dioxazine purple and raw umber, but who's counting? When I can't stand the suspense anymore, I'm glazing color on it. So far, it has value. :0]
That was a great cuppa and a wonderful song!!! Thanks for all you do.
