My objective with this painting: An emphasis on the contrast between light skin and dark hair.

C'est avec un immense plaisir que j'admire avec beaucoup d'attention votre toile et je ressens beaucoup d'émotion... Je pense que ce contraste crée cette atmosphère que j'aime dans votre peinture, comme si une barrière se dressait à un certain moment afin de ne pas tout laisser voir, juste laisser entrevoir quelque chose, un sentiment... une invitation à revenir plus tard..
Je ne sais pas si je parviens bien, avec des mots, à vous décrire ce que je ressens.

I have a sense of Mary Cassatt with some of your latest pieces, Celeste. And may I add that they are really beautiful? I love the softness of this one, the hint of bones beneath the robe and the delicacy of her expression.
