Dark haired woman in a hat (sketch) & more..

I worked hard on my large project today...it is about 3/4's done. At the end of the day, I did this monochromatic sketch with leftover paint. I love painting with leftover paint nearly as much I do with fresh new paint!
I'm also including a detail of my ongoing large project. I don't know yet if it is going to succeed. It's iffy! :) How was YOUR day....was it artful?

(Bottom) Detail, Celeste Bergin, Untitled, oil on 36 x 48 gallery wrap canvas

Whenever I see your end-of-the-day work, I think I should set up a palette just so I'll have some leftover paint. Your dark haired woman is a beauty. We're anxiously awaiting "the project."

Like your end of day sketch. Looking forward to seeing the larger painting.
I had a good day too painting from life.

Beautiful end of day sketch---love all you left undone
and how translucent her skin. Also love your head drawings--really sculptural and strong.

She reminds me a bit of Barbra Streisand in "Funny Girl." She always wore such great hats. The excitement builds for the big painting!

These are both nice.

I really like both works. You have a strong sense of design and a knack for adding expression to your work which evokes a feeling in me each time I see your work. That's a gift!

Very nice profile, I think it is a self portrait...true??

That woman is beautiful, Celeste! As to your big project, I am trying to figure out what it will be. Oh to have your artistic vision!

So well balanced in so many ways. Good one!!

I am holding off on big works until the snow is gone. Too much light.

You are inspiring me.
