Tuesday~!

Today I unearthed this old old old painting of mine. It's very sentimental, isn't it? I must saved it because I thought it was good (which it is not). If I were to do this today I'd definitely opt for brighter yellows. And here's today's alla prima practice, Macintosh apples.

The butterflies aren't your style anymore, but they sure are realistic. I think it shows a painter who knows what shes doing. I couldn't paint it even if it was paint by numbers.
The apples of course are today's Celeste Bergin- boisterous color, bold composition and full of style.

It's interesting to see how your work has changed over time. The butterfly is beautiful, but I would never have guessed it was yours. Now, the apples, there's Celeste! Hope you're feeling better!! An apple a day?

I liked the butterflies but I can see a great change in the way you now look at the subject matter. The apples are full of life and emotion.

Well, my friend, I rather love the butterflies! And of course, the brightness and boldness of your alla prima piece could brighten anyone's day; they sure have mine!

I like your acrylic butterflies...there's a romantic Valentine's feel to them.
But the oil apples sing with your colors of today.
