I never seem to be able to get a realistic looking tree. Sigh... This is beautiful, sun rise or sunset, depending on which direction this faces, but the darker foreground is spot on for that particular time of day. Gorgeous, Celeste!

Hi Celeste--When I first looked at it I thought, "that is one lonely road". Then I read the title. It's an interesting study. That looks like morning light to me, and I'm traveling east looking right into it thinking, "ok, where are the shades". Wm

You've captured that early morning light just so.. I like the contrast, rarely painted.

It is so totally dramatic, Celeste. It is also true that we often see scenes like this but are scared to paint them!

There is much feeling to this! Roads are lonely only until you're on them. :) Then they are useful and serve their porpose.

I never see early morning but I do love that yellow in the sky.
