Distance

Just a little landscape practice. Yellow is the first of the primary colors that should drop away as distance increases.

Painting: Celeste Bergin: Away in the distance, oil on 8x8 canvas panel

Thank you for that little nugget of wisdom, Celeste. I wouldn't have known that and am filing it away for the next landscape piece. I think this is so beautiful and I just love the deep greens and distant blues and purples. I wish I was sitting in this spot right now!

Nice capture. It's so Oregon. Coming or going, rain is around.

I have to think of something other than "beautiful" to say about these paintings. I'll check out the thesaurus.
