Mountain Cabin

Just painted for fun...checking out color relationships. The yellow light looks more yellow because it's placed next to muted green and grays...(edited to add: and it goes without saying, but apparently I have to say it anyway, that it would look even more bright against yellow's complement purple...though that was not my intent).

Oil sketch, Celeste Bergin, Mountain Cabin, oil on 8 x 6 canvas panel

Sheesh. Ok, now THIS is my favorite! LOL Seriously though. I think this is gorgeous and once again, I am reminded of all the goodness and warmth of Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays by that old song, "Over the river and through the woods..." I can almost hear the sleigh bells now...

Very intriguing painting. The light grabs my attention and I want to go inside the cabin to get out of the cold. Just lovely, Celeste.

The cabin must have electricity! This is a good lesson for me, and I like the painting.
