I painted this awhile ago....but it's my first time sharing it. It's pretty much "intentionally graphic". I remember when I painted it I wanted it to seem like the viewer was becalmed in a boat, a little blinded by the sun on the water...stopped for a moment... enjoying the rustle of the reeds.
Painting: Celeste Bergin, Summer Breeze, Acrylic on 24x24 gallery wrapped canvas.

And you totally succeeded in your intent! Beautiful painting.
You certainly achieved it. Really great painting.
I agree with Jane. 'Cepting I'm wondering if there are snakes about to skate the water from the reeds! (Yes, I did see one a little over a week ago doing just that!) Gorgeous palette, Celeste!
oh this is so powerfull, so fresh and strong, Ilike especially the light among the water
Yes- it is more graphic than your other work. But like your other work- it is stunning! I really love the touches of red. The whole painting can be summed up in one word... perfect.
The bright colours on the left are very effective, Celeste! And once again, lovely bright water!
I am there on the boat. Beautiful.

Very nice! I love the colors and how fun and exciting the painting is.
This is wonderful Celeste! Sun light dancing on water with a cool breeze, and you did it!
