Afternoon tea

Just another oil sketch..a ceramic teapot (good practice, but I totally missed the boat with "grounding" it onto the table, it's kind of "float-y").

Oil sketch: Celeste Bergin, Afternoon Tea, oil on 8x8 canvas panel

Looks to be an antique beauty, Celeste. There is something you do that makes your pieces look so beautiful and dreamy...An almost blurred vignette maybe...Just gorgeous!

That is the most interesting red and green combo. Your still life sketches are wonderful.

I like how you placed the darks to accentuate just the right spots! Beautiful!

Good practice indeed. Convincing shine

I just love your oil sketches - this is a still life that is not still at all. It has all kinds of interest, all over the place.

I too just love your sketches. Inspirational. Kicked me out of my slump. I do love their unfinished quality--you should always leave your audience wanting more. LOL
