I took this painting with me yesterday, thinking I might paint over it completely..but, I put in some new signage and changed the umbrella to be canted. I'm not 100% certain I salvaged the painting, but, for now, it lives to see another day.

Yahooo, Celeste!
I really love the mood, colours in this painting.
Cheers,Sadami
I love the mood set by the close values in this piece.
I would have been interested in seeing the 'before' as well as the 'after.'
It's great that you made the changes.
I love it too Celeste - don't change it. Especially your looseness and suggestions of elements.
I love the feet disappearing into the mist of the rain. You've injected that mood again, my friend. I really don't know how you do it, but I often get a sense of mood from your pieces. Mood of whom? I'm not sure if it is your own, or maybe it is the figure portrayed. Either way, I love it!
Since I did see it before you tipped the umbrella, I would say your instincts were right.
Big improvement!
oh, how I love your oils ...!!!! You know best, but I wouldn't change a thing. !
