Here's one of my paintings that was sold at "Art in the Heart" (Thanks, Kevin!)  It didn't get sunny today until late afternoon..but that was perfect because overcast weather is great for looking at art outdoors. I met loads of new people and it was fun to compare notes with the other artists around me. In a conversation I had with one of my heros, Oleg Ulitskiy, I asked: "Why are Russian Painters so good?" He replied: "Long history, dating back hundreds and hundreds of years. Rigorous Schools. Working hard".  (I know all this, but it is extra cool to hear it said in a Russian accent).  I was also able to catch up with uber-talented plein air painters Mike Rangner and Mike Lindstrom too. Thanks for having me, Art on the Boulevard......I had a blast!

(Top) Painting: Celeste Bergin, White Flowers, oil on 9 x 10 stretched canvas  (SOLD)

Evening Celeste,
Congratulations on the sale. It's a beautiful painting and I can see why it sold.
It was also nice to see your photo, close-up, well-lit and without your ball cap.
Now, I'll never doubt my vision when I happen to see you again someday!
Have a great day tomorrow.

Love this piece and I imagine it is going to a beautiful high end home where it will grace a gorgeous dining room or living room. So glad you had a great time Celeste, and hope you had other sales too!

It is fun to see your report on your outdoor show. Are you doing AITP on Labor Day?

It may be hard work, but the rewards of interacting with the public and fellow artists are high.

Thank you Celeste for coming and being a part of our show! I'm glad you had fun, I know the other artists enjoyed talking with you too. And by the way, I LOVE my new painting!!!

Celeste! That painting is wonderful!
You look proud and beautiful standing in front of your art. I think you are a blessing to many!

That painting is absolutely lovely and it would have been mine except someone else beat me to it! However, I love my new Celeste Bergin, and soon it will be framed and hanging in my house. It can't been seen in your blog post though, because it's hanging right behind your left leg! Thanks for such a lovely visit. I hope to see you again soon. Take care!

that is an outstanding painting, it's formal, but sort of surprisingly impressionist too. Congrats!

Phenomenal painting, like an old master with a modern twist.

My computer hung up today, when I clicked on the link at my blog to go to yours to see what was happening on "Saturday!". When I finally got the computer humming again, I saw that you had left a comment for me. We were trying to get to each others blogs, and the computer couldn't handle it! So if you "savor" my posts, I adore yours. So there! Mutual admiration.

Congratulations, Celeste. Some lucky person has a beautiful painting for their wall.

What would we do without pockets? Great photo.

It was fun seeing your show with many of the paintings previously seen on your blog. They all have different sizes that I now appreciate seeing in real life.
Congratulations on your sale.

Hi Celeste,
just wont to comment on the beautiful photo! To me it says: the right women in the right place. You seem happy.
