This is an oil sketch based on the flesh tones lesson I got yesterday. I'm trying my best to get things right on the palette before putting it on the canvas. Always a good idea.
In other news, I saw this video today (below) and the song got stuck in my head for a good part of the day. If you are a Queen fan....you really should see (hear) this!

Really nice job, Celeste. I love the warm and cool skin tones. Love the video!
Excellent portraits Celeste. I look forward to seeing more.
Very good sketch, Celeste.
What a handsome gent this is! Refusing to watch the video. Why? Because when a darned song gets stuck in my head it really is there all day! LOL Nope. Haven't done my history challenge piece yet. Thankful that there is one more week to September though! I'll get it done. Trouble is that I have something in mind and can't find a good reference for it. I do have two pieces going though that I worked on off and on yesterday...
Nice proportions Celeste. Looking real good!
great sketch and greaat song. Your portrait work is really singing Celeste.
Love these last two portraits! Wish your friend lived near me. I could really use his advice!
You've painted another man with a mustache. Hmmm... Interesting skin tones on this one.
The video. He sings with The Dirty 'Stache? Hmmm...
See my post today. I think I was channeling your instructor - only his other favorite subject......
I never thought about the neutrals in skin tones this way. But seeing what you have done it's a similar look to G. Gill color wise.
Nicely done!
