The Train Station

Yesterday, at the reception at Broderick in Rainier, a woman asked me about this painting: "Is she saying Goodbye..or is she saying Hello?" --I responded.... "You decide."

(And George called me this afternoon to tell me this painting got a red dot today! That makes 5 paintings sold from the new show. Hooray!)

Painting: Celeste Bergin, The Train Station, oil on 9x12 canvas panel (SOLD)

I love this one; such a 1940's feel to it. No surprise it sold, my friend. Congratulations!

I really like this one, Celeste!
Reminds me of a retro romance movie poster. The interaction is great to snag a viewer's attention!

Congrats on the sale!!!!!! :)

I do love the fogginess of your paintings Celeste. The treatment adds romance and mystery--interest in where these people have been and where are they going--or are they?

I think she's moving on. This one's a jewel (maybe ruby) and someone had great artistic taste--congratulations.

Congrats on the sale! The purchaser is so fortunate to own a "Bergin". It's beautiful.

She's telling him how much she missed him.

Red dots are the best compliment an artist could ever get. Hooray!

I really like this. It reminds me of the train station in Venice, Italy. I think that is because of the time warp. I wonder if the woman who asked the question is the same one who bought it...and what is her answer to the question about what is going on.

Body language says she is pulling back from him. He is looking down, not happy. Good-bye, John. Congratulations on your sales. xo Jenny

Congrats on all your sales. This is a remarkable painting. The man has his head downturned so I'm guessing its a sad departure.

I would say it's goodbye...and congrats it was goodbye for you too. Beautiful piece and good response from you, let the viewer decide. Happy to see your hard work is paying off, Celeste.

Definitely red dot worthy, and I am sorry someone beat me to it. I'm glad that it has a sense of mystery.
