I painted this with three paints I had left over from several days ago (Ultramarine blue, Alizarin Crimson and white). It's painted on black gesso.

Wonderful, Celeste....so dramatic!!!!
Une autre mystérieuse jeune femme au regard profond et perdue dans ses pensées. Est-elle en pleine méditation ou observe-t-elle en discrétion totale ?... J'aime me représenter les choses ou les sentiments en admirant votre travail...
Gros bisous

thanks Martine!
Thanks Carolyn... :)
I love the limited palette and true to your work she is full of drama, wonderful lines and tremendous truth. Outstanding painting Celeste!
She is beautiful, Celeste! Is she a real person or someone you made up? (That didn't sound right but I'm not sure how to make it sound better! LOL) Gorgeous use of those left over paints too. A striking effect indeed.
i like the colors
This reminds me of you (and a bit like Cameron Diaz). She's beautiful and mysterious.
This is a reminder of how good a palette of left-overs can be. Thanks!
Always inspirational, perhaps even moreso when we know something like the detail that you only used three colours to achieve this rich portrait. Wow.
