Missed a couple of posts; please forgive me, Celeste. I just love this piece, both in its finished state and in your earlier post of its start. Just so gorgeous with your handling of light and silhouette.
I am saddened to know of the loss of your artist friend below. He was born the same year as my mom so a bit of a solar plexus hit too. He looks so interesting and I wish I could see some of his art work. I shall be looking him up online, for sure!
The glow in this is beautiful and the feeling to me is so alive = it's rained and everything is wet but the sun is setting, creating that glow through the woods but the wind is blowing everything around so it's vibrating! All that and probably nothing what you were thinking about when you painted it - but that's what good art does = creates a story inside you. Sorry to hear of your friend, The Frog, and his passing. He sounds like a person who cherished art more than conventions but I'd never think of your beautiful name and not remember it!

Going into the light seems to be on your mind these days. Great blend of blinding light and dark shadows Celeste.
Celeste! I'd say you hit this one outta the Park!
Strong impact and cool colors!

Wow! I love the colors and the edges!
Is it just me, or does anyone else see the face. Celeste, you paint people even when you're not trying to. Now that's a talent!...
Stunning Celeste! It's exciting on a small scale; I can imagine its gorgeous in person!
Magnificent! You kept all of the excitement and color harmony of the earlier stage and refined it. Wow!
Absolutely Beautiful!
Love the look of it!!! Very evocative. I think that is what you do best.
