I am happy today and grateful for my wonderful friends who know me. I'll always paint and draw with the goal of improving every day. I will be back tomorrow and the next day and the next (and the next and the next and the next, etc).
Top Painting: Celeste Bergin, Flowers in the studio, oil on 8x8 stretched canvas
Bottom Painting: Celeste Bergin, copy of Howard Sanden Hands from his DVD...I recommend it highly !)

What a great floral Celeste! Lovely grays and wonderful color. To me, your still lifes are the hub of your wheelhouse.
Love the flowers and your hand study.
Take care,
Barbara
Your friends are happy to be your friends! Nice hands, too!
I really enjoy the diagonal design of the flowers. Is that painted on a dark background again?
This is what I must learn (that flowers will look brighter next to grays and neutrals).
PS I have that video and I hated it!
Both beautiful...but I love the flowers, such happy colors!
Aunque me gustan las dos obras, me siento atraído sobre todo por las manos. Me gusta mucho tu trabajo.
Abrazos.
Y feliz fin de semana.
For some reason, any painting with black underpainting is an immediate winner and eye catching piece for me. Just gorgeous, as always, Celeste! Hoping you'll continue to count me a friend.
The flowers are lovely but those hands! There is something about them. I like the view a lot.
Lovely gentle hands and the flowers are beautiful...keep painting beautiful paintings!
I am so happy you are here! I have a rather demanding day job that takes me away from all this, and it shines a light in my day to view your post on my phone. I've seen your post every day this week but haven't been able to comment (it's a real trial on the phone). Your work continues to shine - get better and better.
The flowers are beautiful. Often I don't appreciate paintings of flowers, but somehow you have made a totally original and wonderful painting in your style.
The hand study is so well done too, of course. Hands are so difficult.
Beautiful flowers. Jane's right--happy colors.
Celeste! I love your paintings, but it's the post that gave me a big smile.
I promise I will view the next post and the next, and the next, ect. ect. ect. :)
I thought I left a comment earlier. Great flowers and I agree with Jane--happy colors.
I love the fresh flowers. I'm unpacking in Texas and long to find my paints to set out to paint again here. New studio, new home. Texas landscapes are on my mind. I admire your tenacity in painting.
Of course you'll be here. Where on earth would you go?
I'm so glad we got to go outside and paint today!!!
