Life painting session --"G"

Today's model "G" was pretty and had a "serious" look about her. My aim was to concentrate on big shapes!  Life painting sessions are over now for awhile, but I will try to find a way to paint models each week, either at Hipbone or from reference.

L'attitude de la toute dernière me plaît avec son côté très décontracté... On sent que vous êtes allée à l'essentiel.
Je vous souhaite une douce nuit de noël et tous mes voeux pour 2012.

She is beautiful indeed, Celeste, but I suspect your painting accentuates the reality. I was just sitting here this a.m. thinking about how you are able to paint so much and am left in awe. I just struggle and struggle to finish even one piece much of the time. I get paralyzed by fear and that stops me in my tracks.

I like this portrait! I think because you emphasized the major shapes she looks especially strong and heroic

Skimming through the blogs I follow last night after lugging the luggage in from the car, your portrait was the outstanding picture on my site. I would have written how lovely it is--a strong image strongly painted--but I was beat from coming through customs. Why is it always such a long trek from plane to the port authority?

this looks different! she looks like a wonder woman of sorts, somewhat graphic novel-like. I approve

Sherry--This I have learned...if you paint and paint and paint and paint will not be so worried about mistakes. Fact! :)
