I painted with the North Portland Painters at Kat Sowa's Studio in Cathedral Park today. Our model had a look like Royalty. I started out painting the entire figure (she wore a fantastic dress)...but I wasn't happy with the panel sizes I had with me. I switched gears and did a portrait. To see what the other artists painted, go HERE.

Nice one Celeste!
Beautiful portrait! And I saw the other paintings... that's quite a wonderful costume. Have a wonderful creative weekend,
Nora
Hi Celeste,
I think you instinct served you right.I can see why you said she had the royal look. Is beautiful!
Excelente retrato, Celeste!
Besos.
Beautiful portrait Celeste. She is elegant. I actually liked all the paintings in their unfinished state and would leave some that way. Your group is loaded with talent. You're very fortunate.
Absolutely marvelous, Celeste! I love how you handled this piece. She has a bit of a Katherine Heigl look to her too. Beautiful!
Beautiful.
excellent painting!
I love looking at a week in the life of Celeste Bergin. (I've been looking in all week, of course). Sunday - I was inspired by Henry Miller's words - watched it twice. Loved Monday's painting - you've been very good for a long time evidently. :) Monday was graceful, delicate (Pippa without clothes - lol). Tuesday - Robert Frost's words come to life. Thursday - love the clarity of it, with so few colors - you are a master of values. And Friday - love the looseness of it, and she is regal, you are right. It was fun looking at what the other artists did too.
