I made the trip to Rainier see the "International Show" at Broderick Gallery today. I got to meet the esteemed Erik Sandgren, visited witb photographer Gary Stallsworth, sampled some delicious goat cheese and met a Golden Retriever named "Bo"...all this and I got to visit with George and see a lot of gorgeous art too. (Slideshow below) A fine day!

What a beautiful dream landscape! And that kitty blanket below is quite stunning. I am often rewarded with a kitty blanket myself! Your Sunday sounds like it was awesome and so much fun! Oh to live in Portland...you'd show me a thing or three I suspect.
I thought it was charcoal! Wild. Great slideshow - wonderful to be surrounded by art and artists.
Your Sunday sounds packed with fun. Your charcoal (?) looks like my Sunday. Gloomy--not outside where the sun was shining, but inside where storms were brewing. I like it. Fits my day to a T. I'm surprised I didn't paint it myself. Should have. The gloom would have lifted.
it's black and white oil paint..it does look like charoal, doesn't it? That might be in part because the surface I used is quite smooth.
Thanks, Sherry, Dan and LW!
Celeste, the painting reminds me of that other one you did after seeing a black and white DVD. I've forgotten the artist's name. Powerful mood.
Always good to go out and see art. Thanks for the slideshow.
Thanks Celeste! You keep on painting and moving. It's a treat to see you going forwards with art!
I didn't see your landscape as gloomy at all. The beautiful bits of blue are what make it so dreamy. Nice touch!
I love what George Broderick's magic stained glass doorway does to everything in the room. Great shots of colored light everywhere.
Wow. Love this painting.
