Wednesday--!

Have you seen the movie "Midnight in Paris"? I got to see it today with my art pals. The plot was great...it was like spending the afternoon with some of my favorite writers and artists. One of the best scenes was Adrian Brody as Dali (below). Flamboyant! (I give the movie thumbs up...see it if you can! It's a fun movie all about.......art!)

Painting: Celeste Bergin, (Limited palette) landscape, oil on 8x10 canvas panel

I'm so glad you got to see this movie. It's a real gem! I think it's Woody Allen's finest ever. Cinematically, it's seamless and flawless. I saw it last fall and absolutely loved it. I never see movies twice but have no doubt about seeing this again.

While we're nominating flicks here, "The Descendants" is also a damn fine movie. And I don't just say that because it's 2 hours in Hawaii with George Clooney. But really, what else could you want?

Oh yeah, and this painting is a prize-.winner, too!

Rats! I erased my whole comment!
In a nutshell, loved Midnight when I saw it last fall. Will definitely see it again. Woody Allen's best ever.
Also highly recommend The Descendants. Can't beat 2 house in Hawaii with George Clooney. It's also a good movie.

Your painting also deserves a prize!

What a great clip - I've got to see that movie!

Great painting - such skill, classic - love the colors on the left.

I don't see a rhinoceros though.

Where did you see Midnight in Paris? This is the second time in 22 hours that someone has recommended it. And the first time I've seen the clip, which made me snort -- and giggle.

Great painting, of course.
