I met up with the North Portland Painters today at Kat Sowa's studio for a life painting session. Our model was fellow painter Za Vue's nephew (I forgot to get his name). He did a perfect job, staying still as a rock. To see what everyone else did, go HERE.

Looks great, Celeste! I like his pose and your skin tones are beautiful!
Wow! Your portrait is absolutely amazing. I still haven't the courage to tackle portraits or the figure. One my favorites of yours!
I love every stroke and every color you have in his face!

Hi Celeste,
thanks for sharing, I think You capture the essence . It reads very well.
How do you do this??? A beautiful portrait with deceptively few strokes? Amazing work, Celeste! And thank you so much for the link to silver oil painting!
Excellent Celeste!
All the time you spent at Hipbones payed off for sure.
This painting is vivid , the young man in trouble , are thought.

This is very nice. Not as laborious as mine. You are way ahead of my game Celeste--and I bet you're younger too. Beautiful work as always.
Fantastic portrait, Celeste!
Beautiful portrait!! You did an amazing job.
I like the little cool dash on left of his forehead. Good skin tones all around. Nice work. I thought this model was great!
