Monday!

Just a little oil sketch.......I painted it while referring to a previous oil sketch, which is a fun thing to do.  I think I was able to maintain the "festive" sense of the original. (Of course, it could be argued that flowers are always festive, by their very nature, and that I can not expect any credit for that.)

Hey...how is your Monday going? Tell me, I'm interested.

Festive is a great word for this piece. Too, I am reminded of the colors of autumn and it is my favorite season. What a blend of happy this one is for me!

I love using previous works as a reference!

Pretty productive today, thanks for asking. Also got a nice walk in on a mild, sunny day:)

Monday is over, but it was a great one. I researched pochade boxes and think I found the one I'll buy. I love the brushstrokes in your festive flowers.

You are something else--4 x 4" A lovely little tidbit of painting! Yes that is coffee in my cup--I'm just contemplating making another pot for the afternoon session. I'll be back to tell you if I had to unscramble words to get this comment through on not. If not, you'll have to tell me what you did. The Colorist turned his off and I am grateful.

Okay, you did too turn it off. How did you accomplish that?

thanks Sherry, Libby, Sheryl, Marizita, and LW!

LW (and anyone else who wants to turn off the word verification):

You can turn off the word verification from your dashboard.

1. Go to your dashboard: http://www.blogger.com/home/
2. Click "Settings"
3. Click "Comments" in the Settings submenu (there is also a tab named "Comments" but that is the WRONG place).
4. Scroll down to where it says "Show word verification for comments?" and click on the "No" radio button.
5. Scroll down and click the "SAVE SETTINGS" button.
