Monday!

I went to Craig Srebnik's figure class today. We worked on the same painting that we started last week.  Craig starts each session with a demonstration, pointing out key things that we need to pay attention to. Every lesson has built on the one before and when we run up against problems (and we do!) he explains how to make corrections. I especially liked painting the reflected light from the orange sheet onto the skin.
Painting: Celeste Bergin, Sleeping Nude, oil on 24x18 canvas panel

Hi,Celeste,
You're not only greatly talented, but also a great hard worker--I've learned from you, that's the secret to be a great artist.
The reflection is a very interesting topic. Your post implies a technical difference between oil and watercolour. Nice!
Cheers,Sadami

Love what you did to this, closing her in gives such a wonderful feeling of warmth and cosiness. Brilliantly painted, too!
