Fellow painter Jodi Burton was our model today. She was dressed in beautiful silk and she laid on the floor, providing a perspective challenge for everyone. The silk was certainly fun to paint, and I did not finish, but I felt I took it as far as I wanted in the time alloted. To see what everyone else did, go HERE.

Celeste you did a great job of depicting silk. Amazing I would have guessed it was silk had you not mentioned it. Lovely!
Once again it's insetting to see all the different takes of the same model - the slide show at the end puts it all into context and I quite like this idea.
The silk works very well, and you bring the model to life - I see a person rather than an object ... if that makes sense :0)
Have a good weekend
Her hair is beautiful too; what an amazing job you did!
Awesome!!
Wonderful painting! I like that it is 'about' the whole thing and not just her face. The fabric looks great!
Happy Painting.
The silk clothing reads really well, and I like how the light falls in a distinct way across the features
I really must insist on painting in that group one day.
Thank you Nancy, John, Sherry, Sadami, Nora, and Dave! Appreciate your comments!
Beautifully painted, finished or no.
