I went to Kat Sowa's Studio 30 for Fine Art Friday today. I slogged away at a sunflower painting for a long time and in the end I completely abandoned it. I returned to this start from a couple of sessions ago. This one has a chance! It was great fun to visit with all the other painters and to talk shop with them. To see what everyone painted....go HERE.

Une peinture en cours de composition intéressante et déjà des couleurs flamboyantes qui appellent l'été...
Un grand merci pour ma petite Lise...
Gros bisous et joyeuses Pâques.
Gorgeous brush strokes, Celeste! And the colors are just so full of joy too. Slogging is a word I use regularly. I slog through work, I slog through most of my art pieces...so? I know the feelings. Ah well, its a canvas you can re-use!
Alla prima is what I've planned for today. Museums energize me. I can't wait to get my hands in some paint. Lovely painting Celeste as is. It's done. The day's over. I'm liking unfinished lately; unfinished paintings have life--not everything is high lighted down pat and unmoving.
MUY bello cuadro, Celeste...muy armonioso.
Abrazos!
Another good start, but I like it just at this stage.
This is already wonderful! The brushwork and color-yay!
Bravo!
Looks like it was a great day at Studio 30, Celeste. and i have to agree with Linda, this painting looks really good unfinished, but certainly don't let that hamstring you if you want to continue on it.
so different from nudes huh?
Really interesting how many different directions this could go, Celeste. A great start with the vivid colors!
Beautiful work in progress! One worthy of finishing, for sure.
Off to an amazing start! Very bright and colourful. I look forward to seeing it.
Happy Weekend.
