I know I have some paintings that I vowed to finish, but instead I started yet another one. This is the first pass. It may wind up in the pile of things to finish....or I might actually finish it! Hey....how was your Tuesday?
Painting: Celeste Bergin, Ballerina (in progress), oil on 12x 6 canvas panel

It's so hard when you are really inspired not to just jump in and start to paint - I have a few paintings I need to get finished too...
This is beautiful - the brushwork is especially lovely. I can see why you wanted to paint this!
Celeste, I just love ballet dancer paintings. Of course, I am always reminded of Degas. This one has a delicate feel that I always associate with ballerinas. That said, I also know they are generally very strong from their dancing. I love that dichotomy.
My Tuesday was just great I manacled to paint even though I seem to be stuck in the rut of painting a series of the same things. Like this one do not make too many changes it looks good the way it is.
It's finished.
Es una obra maravillosa,Celeste querida. Es difícil, creo, dar en el óleo la delicadeza que tú lograste aquí...
Te felicito grandemente.
(Me recordaste una bailarina que hice en acuarela, hace un par de años).
ABRAZOS GRANDES.

It is a wonderful work, dear Celeste. It is difficult, I think, given the delicacy in the painting you did it here ...
I congratulate you greatly.
(I remembered a dancer I did in watercolor, a couple of years).
BIG HUGS.

FINISH????.... This is finished sister! Get this one a frame as soon as you can.
I think this IS finished. It a complete statement of pose, attitude and sophisticated simplicity-lovely!
Well I reckon it's fantastic, Celeste, but I'm no painter :0) ... but it doesn't stop me liking what I like.
Tuesday was great, thank you: I finished a week's worth of drawing...finally
