Yesterday I turned in this painting (together with one other) into The Great Nautical Show. I saw a lot of beautiful work at the intake session. You'll want to come see it! (information in sidebar under my current events)
Today Michael and Vicki Lindstrom shared a picnic with us on the grounds of the Gorge White House..... and afterwards we went inside for my artist reception (slideshow below). Thanks to owner Camille Hukari for inviting me and doing an outstanding job of displaying my work. And to all my Portland/Vancouver art pals who made the long trip to see the show.....you're the BEST! ♥ Here is some other nice news...three of my paintings are marked SOLD. The show is up until May 31. :)

And your work is very "sweet"!
Cheers,wink,wink, Sadami
Your show looks wonderful. Congratulations!
As for Old Salty, I can almost taste the salt in the air. Beautifully done!

Un très joli panache de photos...
Une belle oeuvre en mouvement... Une autre semaine s'amorce.
Gros bisous
Celeste, this is just beautiful! My favorite boat piece ever! Love these photos and am so proud of your successes.
Oh now this really is a favorite! Such a beautiful painting of an Old Salt indeed. I've always wanted to live on a boat (well, there are many things I've always wanted and many places I've always wanted to live). This is my favorite of all boat pieces to date. Funnily enough, my next piece intends to be a boat painting taken from up high over the Mississippi River.
You know that beneath it all I'm a Shipwright, don't you? So there's no way I'm not going to love Old Salty - it's lovely.(I doing a series of Mississippi Paddle Steamers).
I really enjoyed your show, wasn't it presented wonderfully? I bet you were really tired afterwards though.
Great post, thank you.
Love that boat! What a great venue too. Glad that you had such a successful day. I think you may be on a roll here:)

Hello Celeste, congratulations!
And this boat is beautiful, romantic, and beautiful colors
Celeste, it was a great time, we had a blast with you! Congrats on the wonderful solo show, it was terriffic! Really glad that you received 3 red dots, outstanding! and Old Salty is awesome, love the texture. Bravo Missy!
And look at you ... you don't appear to be nervous at all in the photos.
Your work doesn't need a frame but I really appreciate seeing all those paintings framed.
Congratulations of the three sold works ... there will be more I'm sure!
Great boat painting ... was it Plein Air?
Old Salty is terrific. I didn't know you had sea legs. The show looks like it was fun too and if there's still a month to go and three sales already made, it's going to be quite a success. Congratulations.
I LOVE "Old Salty"!!! Your loose brush strokes just call to me. Great composition, too.
Congratulations on your sales!!
Robust and weathered-love 'old salty's presence!-especially the varied textures and diagonal lines
congrats on such a beautiful show-and the sales!
you know I always like to see pictures of you.
Celeste- You are amazing! Your ship painting is classic and so you. I absolutely LOVE IT!!!
Congrats on your sales and on all of your accomplishments.
Wow!!!!!!!!
I had to come back to this post because several days ago I wrote the most inspired comment on this painting on my phone, which was no easy task, and then the comment blew up! The reason for the great comment was the painting.
This painting is the wizened sea captain, the icy surf, the hardened experience of the crew, the smell of salt in the air - all of it captured in this one piece. I think it is magnificent!
This boat is fabulous !
