Thursday!

I got some new brushes delivered today. They are Robert Simmons signet brushes from ASW.  (Hooray!) I also finalized my submission to the Pittock Mansion exhibit. (The painting above is not one that I am submitting, it is from my archives). Well, I had a really good Thursday.......how was yours?

Painting: Celeste Bergin, Waiting, oil on 9x12 canvas panel

Celeste, this is a wonderful painting! Lovely, soft colors, very sensative, and great brush strokes.
Thanks for sharing and have fun with the new brushes. I'm sure it feels like you just came from the candy store.

Cette dernière peinture est magnifique... Je la trouve pleine de délicatesse avec une certaine sensualité retenue. Du romantisme mêlé à de la poésie... Une lumière extraordinaire vient mettre en valeur votre personnage.
BRAVO !
Gros bisous à vous

Wow, Celeste! I think this moves into new favorite position. I don't remember seeing this one before but it is stunningly beautiful. She looks like she is just so wrapped up in a book? Dreaming? Once again, I am transported to earlier times with the clothes, the room, the hair style, and the softness overall. Stunning, truly!

Well you sold some brushes, I figured if you used them, I should try them --the price was just right. They look sturdy.

Cant' wait to see you entry. This is a beautiful painting in the Franz Hals "rough style." I like that description of gestural painting for this painting that doesn't look rough at all.

Now I reckon she's standing in the wings, she's nervously reading her lines before making her début.

Lovely painting, Celeste.

I like this so well, even though I can not tell what she is doing. Maybe that is exactly what is so good about it
