It's a yearly tradition to celebrate Carolyn's birthday at Camp 18. This year Carrie Holst did a watercolor plein air demonstration for us (which was exceptional, despite the added challenge of rain). I got a good start on an antique tractor, but precipitation forced me to leave it in an abbreviated state. Painting it as far as I did was pleasant enough. It was a great day. Slideshow below and to see what the others did, go HERE.

I love old tractors, trucks, cars, and you've captured the spirit of this one beautifully, Celeste. I can almost see it as it worked the fields many many years ago.
Artists sure know how to throw a birthday party! Lucky Carolyn. And I see a few things that will undoubtedly make it to the table for the after party with you, Carolyn, and Carrie!
Qué hermoso! Trae reminiscencias del pasado, deja nostalgias pegadas a la piel (aunque yo no necesito mucho para sentirlas!).
Me gusta su color, además...
Bello, Celeste!
Mis abrazos, y besos, desde Chile.

The tractor looks promising, be interested to see it finished.
Loved the slide show of Carolyn's birthday. Wonderful location all that lumber and old machinery - right up my street!!!
Great post, Celeste, spent ages studying each slide!
I don't know how we lost the pretty little birthday cake plates until it was time to leave????? The sun came out briefly about that time too. it was a great little escape from urbanity.
What a great place for painting--I love your tractor. I remember when farmers actually drove those.
looks like a great party-love the tractor drawing and painting
