Friday!

Today I made some revisions to this painting. It worked out just as I hoped and I put it in a frame.
I also got to visit with Jim King at his studio. To see what beautiful new work he has been doing ....go HERE.

Painting: Celeste Bergin, In the Valley, oil on 9x12 canvas panel

Please do share where you find your frames, my friend. The one you found for the ship is gorgeous!

I've always thought your work is beautiful and now I find myself wanting to see each piece in person. They are truly powerful up close and personal. This is a beautiful landscape, as they all are when you get to work on them.

There are so many wonderful parts of this painting. Love the brush strokes, the golden hue, the delicate clouds - there is a feeling of motion towards something. Excitement at what awaits at the horizon.

It's got a touch of Dutch about it. it really works for me ... oops forgot to use the link in your post... I will go back and look.

John's right. It does have a touch of the Dutch in it. The colors and rendering is beautiful. We'd all like to know your frame source. Framing is often a last straw in the process. But seeing a work framed is gratifying.

Wonderful use of light and color Celeste. I love the shades in the field and the distant trees are awesome!
