Monday...Celebrating Sondra's birthday

Today Sondra and I went to Alameda Cafe to celebrate her birthday. She and I "go back a long way." We met at Mt. Hood CC around 1978 when we were both taking graphic design classes. One day in Loren Weeks' design class Sondra stood up and said "this is all complete @#$%!" and she quit the program. (I still bought into it all, and I soldiered on). We've remained best friends throughout all the ensuing years. After lunch, we went to the Barnes & Noble, drank more coffee and looked at books. She wound up buying a book about survivalism. Sondra has always been wonderfully.......... weird.

I like Sandy Delta and I'd like your friend, too. Sounds like a good day--old friends are great.

Une grande douceur et une paix profonde dans cette peinture qui accompagne et rend hommage à l'anniversaire de votre amie.
Très joli travail.

Gros bisous à vous.

Gorgeous landscape, Celeste. I always find myself imagining seeing the places you paint. Like I've been there before - or at least wish I had been there before. Wonderfully weird. I like it! Happy birthday to your good friend!

I used to think that anyone doing anything weird was weird. I suddenly realized that anyone doing anything weird wasn't weird at all and it was the people saying they were weird that were weird.
Paul McCartney

I think he is saying we're all weird!! :-D I'd like to meet Sondra and you one day!!

I love weird people.Wish her happy birthday and many more from me. Unfortunately, all the weird gals I knew have gone leaving me surrounded by gals who play cards everyday of the week and think I'm weird because I don't. How dull.

Bookstores are great too. Book clubs, no. Who needs someone to tell you their interpretation of a book?

Sandy Delta looks great, I could do with a little isolation there! Life here continues to be frantic - no time to draw!

Last year Pat and I went down South for a weeks break. We budgeted what we thought we would need for the week...then we went into an antiquarian book shop and spent the whole budget in two hours!

Books R us!

If you want weird, you can borrow my family!!
