I'm trying to get a little "spring cleaning" done in my studio, but I did not get very far today. ( I let distractions take over). I'll get back to it tomorrow. Meanwhile, I did manage to add the glaze to this painting. I'm pleased with how it came out. How about you, blogging friend...how is your weekend?

Wonderful "earthiness" of this piece - lovely!
Gros bisous
It must be the season, any number of artists are having a clean out of their studio, me included.
I love the light and glow of that river. Its wonderful.
The glazing makes this piece positively glow!
This just adds such wonderful light, Celeste. Whatever you are glazing with makes the piece seem so master-like to me. I just love it!

A peaceful place to paint only the riverbed appears to move slowly ... Today after a wonderful day sunny and warm, we unfortunately the rain! ... and here in France it is the festivals of all the moms ... a day off ... big kisses
(thanks, Martine!)
Lovely!! It has a beautiful warm glow!!
There's a bright golden glaze on the meadow..there's a bright golden glaze on the meadow..
Wow! What a difference a glaze makes.
I am pleased too. The painting looks like Spring came to the wetlands with your spring cleaning. Any minute I might accomplish that myself if I wasn't always sidetracked. I pick up a brush, I've got to put some paint on it. Does anybody really have a clean studio? Is it really necessary?
Love the golden glow of this glaze, Celeste!
Hi Celeste, your painting is warm and beautiful with a lovely contrast of the silver lake stream running through the dark colors of the fall foliage and grass. Kind of looks like a Thomas Kincade painting. Always look forward to your surprise paintings of different subjects. Are the roses blooming in Portland yet? Have a lovely art Sunday, Celeste!

This Blogging friend also thinks it is wonderful! As I am seeing your painting I am also listening to a Violin Sonata by Joseph Joachin, "Romance", which matches your painting in tone and feeling! Lovely commbination!
Always amazed how a glazing can transform something so wonderfully:)
This is so so beautiful! do you need to do more? so luminous and painterly
Beautiful piece Celeste!
