Today Carrie and I delivered our paintings to the Pittock Mansion for an upcoming show.
Then we found an ideal parking spot right in front of where we were going, the Nob Hill Bar & Grill on NW 23rd (this is a sculpture out front).
George Broderick joined us for some levity and lunch
Then Carrie and I went to the Eastside Esplanade for some sketching. There is a lot of activity on the river, because of the Blues Festival.
We had a great time sitting in the grass under a tree taking in the scenery. To see our sketches ....go HERE. It was a great day! ....How was yours?

Ahoy there! Enjoyed this post at a number of levels.
Great post loved the sketches.
Pat & I grew up by the sea and for the last 53 years we've been landlocked!
We lived in a town called Calne for many years and in its centre was a bronze sculpture of ...pigs! It was the bacon centre for the West of England.
I enjoyed the virtual tour of the Mansion - looks fantastic. Pat & I are members of the National Trust. They take over, restore and manage 'stately homes'. Next week we are going to the flatlands of the (original)Norfolk (not the one in Virginia :0)) to visit the houses there ... hope to gather material for drawing!
So you can see why I enjoyed your post so much!
Une publication très agréable avec ces belles photos et la légèreté des mots pour exprimer un merveilleux moment.
J'aurais bien aimé pouvoir participer à cette plaisante journée.
Gros bisous.
Wow, what a wonderful day! Love the ink and watercolor sketch. Those are quite some pigs you got there too!
Looks like you had beautiful weather for the delivery and lunch. Very lucky:)
Boy that was a fun day indeed! Mine? I spent it at work. Love that watercolor wash boat, Celeste! You always know just where and how to lay down the watercolors. I am in envious!
Nice day!
