Just for fun

A small black and white sketch...sort of a self imposed exercise in shapes and values.

Oil sketch, Celeste Bergin, Strike! oil on 6x6 gessoed hardboard

Yes, really a "Strike!" that hits the point! It captures movement, too. I admire your challenging spirit. Your uploading work shows me anything can be a wonderful subject. I believe it's an artist talent to find it and you have!
BTW, I'm very happy to know you're a life-long soy sauce fan!!
Cheers,wink,wink, Sadami

A perfect strike! Excellent idea for a piece, too, Celeste. Did you go bowling this weekend? (And I mean strike being the best - as it is in bowling - not like in baseball.) You've made me want to go bowling again.

And yet so full of life and movement. Thanks for your positive comments these last few days. As always so encouraging.

I see this and now can't visualize a 'strike' being any different! It's perfect in black and white and I love the action

Strike! Now you have to paint the next two balls, unless you get a spare. Well done!

This IS fun--to paint. An artistic champion with ten in a row. A sure winner for the best painting bowler of the season. Don't need any shoes, not even a ball, just a brush. A sure thing for a trophy.
