Wednesday--!

I like this painting ...it has few elements and close values. It has a lot of drama, despite this minimal approach. Perhaps the mood is more important than the objects.

Painting: Celeste Bergin, Mood Landscape, oil on 5x7 gessoed hardboard

Hermosos claroscuros, nostálgicos, misteriosos...

You are right -- there is so much there with so little there.

Celeste, I've said it before and I'll say it again...No one imbues mood into a painting like you do. This is gorgeous!

I like it too. it fits right in with what I've been doing with heads. The colors are great--also a limited palette. Thanks again Celeste for steering me in the right direction. As soon as my body heals, I'll be back at the easel smarter for the experience.
